The Red Bull Ring will be the host for this weekend’s Austrian Moto Grand Prix. With free driving on Friday, qualifying on Saturday, with the 28-lap Grand Prix on Sunday. This is a relatively new stop on the MotoGP circuit, as the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria has only hosted this event since 2016. One of the main storylines of the weekend is that only one manufacturer, Ducati has won at the Red Bull Ring since the MotoGP circuit returned there in 2016. That fact doesn’t sit well with 2019 MotoGP points leader Marc Marquez. The team Honda driver would love nothing more than to end that streak on Sunday. Although he hasn’t won at the Red Bull Ring, Marquez has enjoyed success at the track. In the last two Austrian MotoGP’s, he has finished in second place. This is the only track on the MotoGP circuit that Marquez has never won at, so he would love nothing more than to change that this weekend. Marquez has had a great 2019, finishing second or better at every race this season. This includes his six wins, including last week where he dominated his competitors at the Czech Republic Grand Prix. Since we’ve already talked about Marc Marquez, let’s preview some of the other competitors who could win this Sunday’s Austrian Moto Grand Prix according to the latest Motor Sports Betting Odds.

2019 Austrian MotoGP Odds, Preview & Expert Prediction

Andrea Dovizioso

The team Ducati driver won the Austrian MotoGP in 2017. He is currently sitting in second place in the MotoGP points race. He was on the podium last week at the Czech Republic Grand Prix. He would love to take the checkered flag and cut into Marquez’s points lead.

Danilo Petrucci

Currently sitting in third place in the point standings, the team Ducati pilot, has the domination of Ducati on his side for this one. His win at Mugello had given him a boost of momentum, but he has struggled as of late. He finished in 8th last weekend at the Czech Republic Grand Prix, so he would love to get back to the podium in Austria.

Jack Miller

Also a Ducati pilot, Miller is coming off of a 3rd place finish last weekend in the Czech Republic. He has a victory over Marquez this season, so he knows that he can defeat the points leader. Currently sitting in 7th in the point standings, Miller needs a good showing to gain on the points leader.

Alex Rins

The Suzuki driver had a good showing last weekend in the Czech Republic. He had struggled prior to that as he had crash issues. He sitting in fourth in the points standings, 96 points behind Marquez. He would love to be the pilot to break the Ducati winning streak at the Austrian MotoGP. Ducati will look to continue its dominance at the Red Bull Ring this weekend. Points leader Marc Marquez would love to be the one to end the dominance and extend his lead in the points standings. It should be an exciting race at a difficult Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria on Sunday.
