The San Marino MotoGP will be held this weekend at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. This will be round 13 of the 2019 MotoGP World Championships. The track is set in the Province of Rimini near the Adriatic Coast. It will be a beautiful setting for an intense race.

Valentino RossiThe Misano Circuit is Rossi’s home away from home. He spends numerous hours at this track practicing. Rossi knows the ins and outs of this facility. Rossi struggled earlier this season, but he has finished in fourth place in the last two races. The fans will be in his corner, and he doesn’t want to let them down. Although he hasn’t won a race since 2017, he has won three races at Misano. Could this be the time that he wins #4?
Mark MarquezThis has been the year of Mark Marquez. With six wins on the season, he is a favorite to win any race that he enters. The last two races have been tough, as he has had chances to win both, but couldn’t quite take over the late lead. He has two MotoGP wins at Misano, while also winning at Misano three other times in different classes. Marquez is shooting for his 8th world title. If he has finished a race in 2019, he has either won or finished in second. This is his race to lose.
Andrea DovisiozoDovi won the Austrian MotoGP earlier this season. Dovizioso has won at Misano before, and he seems to be the top challenger to Marquez. Look for big things from his this weekend.
Alex RinsAlex Rins and his Suzuki has challenged Marquez throughout the season. Coming off of a win at the British MotoGP, Rins has all of the momentum. Team Suzuki has only won one time at Misano. With Rins racing well, and being the top challenger to Marquez, he could win his second race in a row.
Maverick VinalesThe Team Yamaha driver has been good in 2019. With a win, and two other finishes on the podium in his last five races, Vinales is a legitimate contender to win at Misano. Rins and his Yamaha are looking to take the checkered flag in this one.
Jorge LorenzoLorenzo enjoys racing at Misano, as he has won there on three different occasions. He has struggled this season, as he hasn’t finished in the top-10 in any race thus far. Lorenzo loves this track and would love to get back into the winning ways.
The San Marino MotoGP will be a highly contested race. Will the hometown hero, Valentino Rossi, be able to satisfy the pro-Rossi crowd, or will Mark Marquez continue his 2019 dominance and take home the checkered flag?
