NCAAB Betting: Top Games to Watch This Weekend (February 19th)

With the NCAA Tournament near, everyone is gearing up for the postseason. The conference seasons are almost over, and everyone is jockeying for position in their conference tournaments. Teams are making a last-ditch effort to be in position to make the NCAA Tournament. This weekend’s slate of games have many important conference matchups. Some of these matchups could shake things up among their respective conferences. Let’s preview some of the weekend’s top matchups so you can bet against their College Basketball odds.

Top NCAA Basketball Games to Keep An Eye This Weekend

#15 Texas Tech @ #23 Kansas

Both of these teams are near the middle of the Big 12 standings. This is a rarity for the Kansas Jayhawks, as they have been at or near the top of the conference standings for the last 15 years. Both of these teams will make the NCAA Tournament, but a victory over the other would help their tournament seeding.

#13 West Virginia @ #12 Texas

After the Longhorns returned from their COVID issues, they got off to a slow start. Since losing their first three games back, they’ve won two in a row heading into their matchup with the West Virginia Mountaineers. West Virginia’s athleticism will be a good matchup for Texas and their defensive ways. This game will be huge in the Big 12 Conference championship race, as everyone is doing their best to not fall too far back of Baylor in the loss column.

#7 Virginia @ Duke

It’s very rare to see Duke out of the Top 25 this late in the season, but the Blue Devils are just trying to keep their very slim NCAA Tournament hopes alive. At 9-8, Duke will need to run the table in the ACC Tournament to get into the “Big Dance”. Virginia will come to Cameron Indoor Stadium looking to impose their will on the defensive end of the floor. Tony Bennett’s squad is leading the ACC, and a loss would be huge for Virginia at this point in the season.

#3 Michigan @ #4 Ohio State

Michigan, Ohio State, and #5 Illinois are all tied for the top spot in the Big 10 standings. Michigan came off of a three-week layoff to beat Wisconsin last Sunday. The Wolverines will bring a powerful offensive into Columbus to take on the Buckeyes. E.J. Liddell is leading the way for the Buckeyes, who like the Wolverines, have exceeded expectations this season. This game could be one of, if not the biggest game of the Big 10 season.

Maryland @ Rutgers

Both of these Big 10 teams are currently sitting “on the bubble” in regards to NCAA Tournament talk. Rutgers started out the season on fire, but injuries took their toll on the Scarlet Knights, and they have never fully seemed to have recovered. Maryland has been very inconsistent this season. They’ll go on the road and upset a ranked team, and then they’ll come home and lose to a team that they should beat. This game is huge for both teams, as a loss would greatly affect their shot at an NCAA Tournament big. A hurt won’t hurt Rutgers as bad, but they need every win that they can get. If Maryland loses, they’re pretty much out of the running unless they win the Big 10 Tournament.
