The first game of Week 10 is one of the most intriguing. On Thursday night, we get No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young at the Bears and Justin Fields. 

By Week 10, we’ll have some idea of just how quickly Young has adapted to life in the NFL and how good he is inside Frank Reich’s offense. We’ll also know just how effective the Bears’ offseason rebuild has been. 

The smart money is on the Bears, especially at home, and giving up just two points. Roll with Chicago and start your Week 10 off on the right foot.

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens (-3)

In year one in Cleveland, Deshaun Watson was not good. But he’s now had a full year in the system, and his weapons in 2023 are some of the best in the NFL. Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cedric Tillman, and Marquise Goodwin give the Browns great depth at wide receiver, and this offense will be much better this season.

The Ravens, however, also have improved weapons, and they are at home. Baltimore is thinking about a division title; the Browns think they also have a playoff team, and this is going to be one of the best games of the weekend.

Detroit Lions (+2.5) Los Angeles Chargers

If the Detroit Lions are going to win the NFC North, as predicted in the preseason, they are going to have to steal a couple of games they aren’t expected to win. Their Week 10 trip to Los Angeles to face the Chargers is a good candidate for a mild upset.

Jameson Williams will have been back from his suspension for three weeks, and rookie Jahmyr Gibbs will be fully integrated into the offense by the third month of the season. Rookie linebacker Jack Campbell will have also made the defense much better at the second level.

Every year the Chargers hit a midseason swoon that costs them a game or two, they should be able to win, and this is exactly the type of game in which they find ways to lose. Take the Lions, and take the points, and then watch Detroit accelerate to the end of the season.

New York Jets (-2.5) at Las Vegas Raiders

The Sunday night game between the Jets and Raiders is a no-brainer bet. The Raiders are going to be one of the worst teams in the NFL, and the Jets are going to be one of the big stories of 2023.

Aaron Rodgers, Garrett Wilson, and a great Jets defense, giving up less than a field goal to the Las Vegas team that will be lucky to get to six wins in the regular season. The Jets are planning a deep run into the playoffs, and that means they will win these types of games with ease.
