The PGA Tour Championship was just a few short weeks ago. But like many sports in this day and age, the PGA Tour never sleeps. The 2019-20 PGA season kicks off this weekend, as a Military Tribute at The Greenbrier takes place this weekend at the Old White TPC in West Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.

The Old White TPC is a very unique course. It sits over 2000 feet above sea level. At this altitude, the ball will be flying high and far. With the wide fairways, wide greens, and very little rough, players will be pulling out their drivers to take advantage of the light air. The high heat and threats of rain could make things difficult for the players this weekend.

While many of the top players are either playing for top dollars on the European Tour, or are just taking a few weeks away from the game, this will be a tournament where younger players can make a name for themselves. There are still a few big name players who will be playing this weekend, as Bubba Watson, Bryson DeChambeau and Viktor Hovlan will be teeing off in the first event of the season.

Let’s take a look at some of the Golf Betting favorites to win this weekend’s Military Tribute at the Greenbrier.

Bubba Watson

The winner of major tournaments is one of the well-known golfers at this weekend’s event. Bubba loves to play this course. Unfortunately for him, he hasn’t been as successful as he’d like to be, as he has yet to finish inside the top 10. Could this be the year that he finally breaks through and wins the tournament?

Kevin Na

Last year’s champion is coming back to defend his crown. He always plays well at The Old White TPC, and he will be looking to get off to a good start.

Viktor Hovland

He’s the rookie that has everyone intrigued. He has a ton of potential, and many golf analysts are expecting big things from him. Could this be the start of a huge season for him?

Bryson DeChambeau

Hopefully we won’t be hearing about his slow play any more. This is only the second time that he’s played at this tournament, and he finished in 14th that time. DeChambeau was playing well at the end of last season, and he’d like to continue his good play into this season.

Marc Leishman

He hasn’t played here in four years, but he’s coming off of a very good season. He had a win, two third place finishes, and four top-10 finishes in the 2018-19 season. He’s hoping the 19-20 season will lead to even more success.

Jason Kokrak

He ended the 18-19 season playing well. At this tournament last year, he tied for third. Many are expecting a huge 19-20 season from him, and there’s no better way to get the season started, than to have a big first tournament.
