MLB Betting: 2021 World Series Odds and Predictions for AL & NL

As the second half of the Major League Baseball season is underway, it’s time to take a look at who Las Vegas thinks will be the teams most likely to make it to the World Series. Here’s a brief look at some of the favorites to play deep into the baseball postseason. Let’s jump right into action so you can get all set to bet against their World Series odds.

Updated MLB Odds to win the World Series, Predictions for AL & NL

Los Angeles Dodgers +375

The Dodgers are the favorites to win the World Series, yet they’re still not even in 1st place in their own division. Los Angeles is playing a huge series with the division-leading San Francisco Giants and just lost game one of the three-game set, putting them two back of the Giants.  On paper, the Dodgers have the best team in baseball. They have a loaded starting rotation that is currently fighting some injuries and the Trevor Bauer situation. Once they get everyone back healthy, they should be fine. We’re not sure if Bauer will return, but it’s rumored that the Dodgers are looking to acquire a top-notch starting pitcher prior to the trade deadline.

Houston Astros +550

The Astros want to prove to everyone that they can win without banging on trash cans. The most hated team in baseball is showing everyone that they are a force to be reckoned with. They have one of the best lineups in baseball, and their starting staff has surprised everyone this season with how good they’ve been. The Astros bullpen has also been a strength. It’s likely that they’ll make some moves at the deadline. Once Alex Bregman returns from injury, the Astros already powerful lineup will be even better, and they’ll make things even more difficult for the American League.

Chicago White Sox +800

The White Sox have the best record in the American League. They have the best starting rotation in the league and a bullpen full of power arms that can shut teams down. Even though their lineup has been void of two of their slugging, young outfielders, the Sox have still had a great first half. Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert are now on rehab assignments, and once they return, the Sox will be near full strength. The injury to catcher Yasmani Grandal has hurt their offense a little, but he should be back sooner rather than later.

San Diego Padres +800

The Padres are a fun team to watch. Fernando Tatis Jr. is one of the most exciting players in the game, and he is quickly becoming the face of baseball. He leads a very good lineup. The Padres are in the same situation as the Dodgers. San Diego is in third place in the National League West, but they are one of the top contenders for one of the Wild Card spots. The Padres will need to get more out of their starting rotation, as injuries and a poor first half from Blake Snell have hindered that group. Look for San Diego to make some moves near the deadline.

Who’s It Gonna Be?

Right now, we’re going to go with the Los Angeles Dodgers taking on the Chicago White Sox. Chicago has a great pitching staff that is built for the postseason. The Dodgers have a great staff and a very good lineup. They’ll need some bullpen help, but if they get that, they should make their second straight appearance in the Fall Classic.
