We are down to the final week of the regular season in the NBA. Let’s take a look at some of the best betting picks of the week.

NBA Betting Picks of the Week – April 1st Edition

Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat

Miami has been a bad basketball team for a while, well, since Lebron James left the team, and the Boston Celtics are one of the very best squads in the NBA. Of course, I’m taking the Celtics in this one. The combined efforts of Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum, Gordon Hayward, Al Horford, Marcus Morris, and Jalen Brown will be overpowering to a team like Cleveland. Each one of those players averages over 10 points per game. The Celtics can out shoot, out pass, out score, and flat out, outplay the Heat. The biggest problem for Miami right now is that they have a serious lack of star power and a serious lack of direction. In today’s NBA, you need at least two studs that can drive the carriage, and they have arguably one in Goran Dragic, but who else can contribute regularly. They will get the occasional standout game from Dwayne Wade, but is he their long term answer? I seriously doubt it. I’ll take the Celtics to win in blowout fashion in this one, say, by a score of 117 – 92.

Philadelphia 76ers vs Chicago Bulls

Chicago has been a bad basketball team for a while now and of course, the Sixers have looked like one of the very best squads in the NBA as of late. Of course, I’m taking the Sixers in this one. The Sixers can out shoot, out pass, out score, and flat out, outplay the Bulls, but most teams can. The biggest problem for the Bulls right now is that they have a serious lack of star power and a serious lack of direction. In today’s NBA, you need at least two studs that can drive the carriage, and they have arguably one in Lauri Markkanen, but who else can contribute regularly. They will get the occasional standout game from Zach Lavine, but is he their long term answer? I doubt it. I’ll take the Sixers to win in blowout fashion in this one, say, by a score of 107 – 96.

Phoenix Suns at Houston Rockets

The Phoenix Suns are in a race for the lottery pick this season. They’ve been the worst team or the second worst team throughout much of the season. They did seem to find some talent last year with Deandre Ayton, but they clearly aren’t ready or trying to win now. On the other hand, the Rockets are trying to get into prime form as the season draws to a close. They need to be hitting on all cylinders when the playoffs start if they want to contend for the Western Conference with Golden State. James Harden and Clint Cappella have been a devastating tandem for opponents this season and I’m really looking forward to seeing what Chris Paul can add to that mix. I don’t think we have really seen them reach their full potential yet with Paul on the squad. The best offensive team in the league will take n the worst overall team in the league. Hey, anything can happen, but my bet is on the Rockets to take care of business here at home with a 120-95 victory. Enjoy the final full week of the regular season!
