The Rams certainly have a tough schedule in 2021, starting with the division they play in.
No division offers the strength of the NFC West, and all four teams have a realistic chance of making the playoffs.
The Rams have a few other games of note against Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, Tennessee, Baltimore, and Green Bay. All five teams made the playoffs in 2020 and are expected to maintain their strong play in 2021.
The easiest games on the schedule are the Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, and Jacksonville Jaguars, three of the worst teams from last season that should offer little resistance to a team like the Rams.
Los Angeles Rams 2020 Recap
As a reminder, the Rams were one of the NFC’s best teams last year. They finished the season 10-6 and beat the Seahawks in the Wild Card round.
Los Angeles would then lose to Green Bay in the divisional round as the team was forced to start John Wofford at quarterback.
Football Outsiders ranked their offense 10th in the NFL, and their defense graded out as fourth-best in the league. Pro Football Focus had similar ratings, grading the Rams offense 12th-best, and their defense was ranked as the very best unit.
Aaron Donald is the name to remember for this team. The most disruptive defensive player in the league, Donald’s presence elevates the play of everyone around him.
Los Angeles Rams Best Bets for 2021
With Stafford in tow, the Rams offense should be able to improve on their 2020 marks. They have strong receivers in Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp, adding DeSean Jackson in free agency.
The Rams win total projection is currently at 10, and despite the tough schedule, betting the over is a bet worth making.
This team has all the makings of being one of the top teams in the league. With an elite defense and a significant upgrade at quarterback, the Rams should be expected to surpass the ten wins they had in 2020.
Consider betting the Rams to win the NFC, at +600. The conference is wide open after the Buccaneers, and Los Angeles should be in the mix by the season’s end.
