Top NHL Betting Picks of the Week – Monday December 2nd Edition

St. Louis Blues @ Chicago Blackhawks – Monday December 2 7:30 CT

These two teams will face off as bitter rivals for the first time of four meetings on the year. This has always been a closely contested game as five of the last ten games they played have gone to overtime with two of those ending in a shootout. The Blues are riding the hot streak of Jordan Binnington as he is 11-3-1 with a .943 save percentage in his last 15. They are currently on a three game winning streak.

The Blackhawks were not ready to play as they are coming off back to -back losses against Colorado as they were outscored 12-4 in those games. The Blues are the safe pick in this one as the Hawks are a point off from the worst in hockey.

Carolina Hurricanes @ Boston Bruins – Tuesday December 3, 2019 6:00 CT

The defending Eastern Conference champs will play host to their top contender last season as Carolina Hurricanes will come to town. The Bruins are one of the hottest teams in the league right now as they have won seven straight games and havent lost in regulation in their last 10. Carolina has a chance to make a statement in this game as they are a whopping 10 points behind in the standings but can remind Boston that they are a force.

The Hurricanes are also playing well as they are coming into this game having gone 7-3 in their last 10. Boston has been a buzz saw on the ice as they boast the best goal differential in the league with +34 and they haven’t lost at home this season besides shootouts.

Dallas Stars @ Winnipeg Jets – Tuesday December 3, 2019 7:00 CT

Dallas will make its way north for the Canada trip this week as they visit the Winnipeg Jets. If the season ended today this would currently be the first round matchup as both teams have played well this season. The Stars were on a seven game winning streak before dropping their last three games coming into this week. Winnipeg has also won seven of their last ten games so it will be exciting to see who is able to pull away with the victory.

Both teams have almost identical home and away splits as well as goals for and against on the year. Dallas has shown the ability to separate though as the +7 goal differential is the better of the two teams. These same two squads will face off on Thursday so they will have a chance to get familiar.

Colorado Avalanche @ Toronto Maple Leafs – Wednesday December 4, 2019 6:00 CT

The youth movement on the Colorado Avalanche has seen them get off to the third best record in the west which many never predicted would happen. They will go on the road to face a tough and physical Toronto Maple leaf squad. Colorado has been a force to be reckoned with as they have a +13 goal differential over the last 10 and a +22 on the season.

Toronto has the forwards to score like Colorado but has seen health keep their best lines off the ice all at once this season. Toronto is the team id expect to win this game as their home record is among the best in the league.
